We are proud to announce we now have a rare pair discord chat open for our lovely exchange! Please stop buy to come and chat about rare pairs, vent/squee about your writing or drawing, ask for recs, or just and come make friends with a pretty chill group of people.

The rules for the channel are below the cut, as well as on the channel itself: 

1) Be respectful. Everyone in here is into writing or drawing rare pairs, but not everyone is into writing or drawing the same thing. Odds are good you won’t agree with everyone in this room. Please remember we are all fans and we are all here to enjoy chatting with others who share our passions. 

 2) Likewise, please refrain from commenting on others fanworks in a critical way UNLESS THEY ASK FOR IT IF THEY POST A QUICK SNIPPET IN THE BETA CHANNEL. And if someone does ask for constructive criticism, please give it to them respectfully. “Your arm isn’t in proportion to Garrus’ body” is constructive criticism, as is “There’s a comma error (I think) in the sentence ‘Let’s eat Jaal,’ Cora said”; “Your writing is amateurish”, “your art just sucks, get better” are NOT constructive criticisms. They are simply hurtful. 

 3) You may know people on this channel from other places. You may or may not have positive interactions with this person. If you don’t like someone, or someone doesn’t like you, keep that aggression off this channel. This chat is a neutral ground, and if someone has been an issue for you, ignore them. If someone bullies or harasses another participant, they will be kicked out. Continual offenders will be banned. 

 4) Please try to avoid talking about your recipients by name. Your recip may very well be in the chat with you. You may discuss your fanworks, but try to keep some of the mystery. “My MShep/Garrus story” is fine; “My fic for @acequeenking​ ” is not. 

 5) We have a channel for spoiler-free talk for MEA. All other areas are spoiler-heavy areas, and those not wanting that experience should not use those other rooms. If you are in #mea-spoiler-free  and you give away major plot spoilers, you will be kicked. Please remember what area you’re in, and give the information accordingly. If someone has a question you can’t answer without spoiling them, let them know that and answer them in a different channel.

 TL;DR? Don’t be an asshole. Seriously.If you need help finding resources or are not sure where something is, please contact our help group on the channel, who here have names written in green. If someone has violated these rules, is harassing you, or otherwise is ruining your experience, please contact admin @acequeenking​ privately.
